Biography 

Zachary Tinkle is a 13-year-old driving sensation based in Park Ridge, IL who currently races the #53 ½ size stock car minicup car (also known as super cups). He will be racing for #TeamChampion during the 2016 race season as a finalist winner in the national Search for a Champion contest hosted by Champion®. Zachary will be competing in three championship series in the 2016 racing season: Central States Region (CSR) Super Cups, Short Track Auto Racing Series (STARS), and Rockford Speedway Wild Wednesdays. These series will take him to five different asphalt oval short tracks: Anderson Speedway (IN), Dells Raceway Park (WI), Grundy County Speedway (IL), Madison International Speedway (WI), and Rockford Speedway (IL).

Tinkle is the 2015 Illinois MiniCup State Champion for the Short Track Auto Racing Series (STARS). He has been named 2015 Most Improved Driver and 2014 Rookie of the Year for Central States Region (CSR) Super Cups. Rockford Speedway gave Tinkle the “Lead, Follow, or Get Out of My Way” Award at its 2015 season banquet after his stellar ‘never give up’ performance during the National Short Track Championship where he persevered and drove into victory lane.

Tinkle has won a junior gas-powered indoor go-karting championship (Chicago Indoor Racing 2013) and three junior electric indoor go-karting championships (K1 Speed 2014 & 2015). Additionally, Zachary wrote the #1 Hot New Selling (Amazon) children’s book, Zachary Tinkle’s MiniCup Decision.
